The One Where MrsBing Turns 30

Tomorrow is a very very special day. A special day for a special lady. Can we call her a lady? Hell it's her birthday, we'll call her whatever she wants to be called. So I've been prepping & pondering & plotting how to celebrate this momentous day for a very long time. MrsBing isn't just a kindred spirit I met online, she's a RL friend that I've known for 6 years now. Thank GOD we (me & another dear friend) picked her up in Gymboree class when the babies were wee. We courted her hard (this other friend & I, we're good at "dating" new friends). Well it turned into a mutual, lasting relationship thankfully. And then a few years later, I moved halfway across the country with my family & left some of my very favorite people behind, but somehow MrsB and I just grew closer.

I could wax poetic about how very lovely she is - inside and out. How she's steadfast & funny & smart. How she's a wonderful mother. How she's sweet & thoughtful & pervy all rolled into one. How she has one of the best husbands in the world, who is as lovely as she is. How her eyes sparkle (really, they do. her smile is one of my very favorites.) And how I couldn't imagine a better friend to be in the trenches of motherhood with. Nor could I imagine a better person to blog with. Even if we have been busy being moms & wives & friends this summer/fall instead of blogging. So MrsBing, I wish you a VERY very wonderful birthday. Full of only good things, just like you. Happyfuckingbirthday my dear friend :) :) :)

If The Shoe Fits...

Working on a Saturday night wasn’t exactly my idea of a fun weekend, much less a fun birthday weekend. Yet, here I sat in my windowless office in the bowels of the Neiman Marcus Loss Prevention department. We were gearing up for the most anticipated and dreaded day in the retail world—Black Friday. Upgrades were being made to the security cameras and that is precisely why I was sitting here at ten o’clock waiting for the extremely tardy security company to come work their magic. As the antiquated system was offline for the night, it was my responsibility to make sure the new one was up and running before morning.

Forwarding my office phone to my cell, I decided to walk the empty floor. I swept through the women’s clothing, pausing to admire the new additions. Military jackets were in style this year. I’d have to pick up one of those.

I continued on to my real destination. It called to me like a siren—the shoe department. I entered tentatively, making sure no one would be privy to my multiple shoegasms. I stroked the lovelies on the Brian Atwood table, caressed the Mui Miu’s and gave a respectful nod to the Louboutin’s. I lingered at the Diego Dolcini display because he was doing things with footwear this season that should be illegal.

Once I paid my dues to the other masters, I processed solemnly to the Holy Grail of foot coverings. Perched on a glass pedestal like a true work of art, sat the Valentino Sculpture Lace Pump. Delicate black lace over nude leather, crowned with sculpted lace over the heel and around the vamp.

I wanted those shoes.

I needed those shoes.

I couldn’t afford those shoes.

Even with my discount, the nearly five thousand dollar price tag was too steep for me. I would have to settle for fogging up the display pedestal for the rest of the season.

“Would you like to try them on?” I jumped and gasped at the masculine voice behind me.

“Mr. Masen, I didn’t know you were still here. You startled me.” I was still breathing heavily and my voice was a slightly higher pitched than normal.

“I was just finishing up some things,” he said. “Did you want to try on the shoes, Bella?”

I blushed because the manager of the shoe department made all the ladies blush. It was his super power. “Oh, I don’t think I should. Thank you, though,” I replied.

He smiled and my blush deepened. “Didn’t I hear it was your birthday? I can’t think of a better reason to test drive a pair of designer shoes. Let me go get your size. You look like a thirty-seven. Is that correct?”

“Well, yes, actually it is.” With that, he disappeared through the doorway before I could protest further.

I took a seat and tried to quell my excitement. He returned less than a minute later with the coveted shoes in hand. Sitting before me, he unpackaged them. The rustling of paper had never been so alluring.

“May I?” he asked and reached toward my foot. I nodded my silent approval and he slipped off my shoe. “L.A.M.B. You have excellent taste in footwear. Isn’t the designer married to that musician who makes all the ladies swoon?”

It hadn’t escaped my attention that he was still holding my foot in the palm of his hand, caressing it gently with his thumb. “I—I wouldn’t know,” I stammer. “He’s not really my type.”

“And what is your type, Bella?” he asked in a voice a full octave lower than before.

“Tall, reddish-brown hair, green eyes, formidable knowledge of designer shoes,” I answered, earnestly.

“Hmmm. That’s very interesting,” he said. “It looks like the shoe fits, Cinderella.”

I hadn’t even noticed he’d already shod my right foot. Wordlessly, he replaced the shoe on my left foot, running his hand up my calf when he finished.

“You still have some time before the clock strikes midnight. Does the birthday girl have any wishes?”

I looked down at my feet, encased in the finest leather and lace. I was wearing the objects I desired above all others, yet that desire was suddenly eclipsed by another. “There is one thing I’ve always wanted to try.” I slid off my chair to meet him on the floor.

“And what is that?” he asked, looking momentarily unsure of himself.

I placed my hands on either side of his hips and whispered in his ear, “It’s easier if I show you.” Not wanting my meaning to be misconstrued, I nipped lightly behind his ear.

“Cameras,” he warned.

I swung my right leg over his lap and rested on his upper thighs. “Not today,” I reassured him.

He situated his hands on my knees, nudging my skirt up a few inches. “Are you sure about this?” he asks.

“Quite certain, Mr. Masen. This is something I’ve been thinking about for some time now.” I ran my hand through his soft hair and pulled his face closer to mine.

“Really?” He smirked in typical Edward fashion. “Do tell.”

I gathered my courage while tracing his jawline. “First, I imagined you’d kiss me.”

“Is that your birthday wish?” he asked, softly.

“The opening act, yes,” I answered.

“Far be it from me to deny a woman on her birthday.” He closed the distance between our mouths, taking my top lip between his and sucked gingerly.

My mind was warring with itself, vacillating between believing this was either the best or worst idea ever. I gripped his hair with more force than I intended and he responded by biting my lip. One, or both, of us moaned when his tongue slid into my mouth. My own tongue moved along his and I unconsciously lurched forward in his lap. He wrapped his arms around my back, pulling our chests flush against one another.

Kissing down my chin to the neckline of my top, he paused to utter, “Tell me the rest of this hypothetical scenario.”

It took me a moment to right my mind before I could continue. “Next, I would help you out of your shirt.”

“That’s very thoughtful of you.” He released his grasp on me so I’d have room to loosen his tie and unfasten the buttons. With my aid, the shirt fell to the ground behind him. His chest held every bit of the promise his tailored shirt implied.

“I can only assume the natural progression of events would require me to assist you in a reciprocal fashion,” he said, lowly.

“Only if you are so inclined,” I responded.

“I’m inclined.”

His hands slid under the bottom of my light sweater, easing it up and over my head. With no hesitation, my bra joined the top in a heap on the ground. He palmed my breasts and asked, “What happens next?”

My voice barely registered above a whisper. “Next, you would lift my skirt and find I’d neglected to wear panties.”

“Is that so?” He eased my skirt above my hips, firmly grabbing my ass in the process. “Stand up,” he commanded.

I climbed out of his lap and took a step back. He stood and turned me, placing my hands on the Dior display table. I heard the clinking of his belt buckle and the rustle of fabric. A moment later, I felt his hardness press into my backside. “What’s the next scene, Bella?” His voice adopted a raspy strain.

“I feel your cock inside me,” I stated with surprising aplomb.

He flipped my skirt over my hips again and entered me in the same movement. Nonsensical words fell from my mouth while thousands of dollars worth of shoes toppled off the table and clattered to the ground. His thrusts were needy and animalistic. I secretly hoped his fingers would leave faint marks around my hip bones just to prolong the memory of this night.

He moved one hand to the juncture of my thighs. I gripped the table harder as my stomach began to tighten. He slipped two fingers around where we were joined and quickened his pace. His thumb pressed firmly on the bundle of nerves that seemed to be tethering me to the earth. My orgasm ricocheted through me so suddenly I almost lost my footing. Edward’s own release was shortly behind mine and he slowed his rhythm to a less punishing pace. He pulled us both down to the floor, positioning me on his lap.

“There is a serious matter I feel we need to discuss,” he said.

“Oh, what is that?” I asked. I turned so I could see him better.

“You’re still wearing the Valentino’s,” he answered, gravely.

I looked down at my feet. “Yes, I suppose I am. Is that a problem?”

“I’m afraid it is. Store policy dictates that those shoes are no longer eligible for resale.”

“I’m not following you,” I said, starting to panic.

“You will have to purchase the shoes, Bella,” he said.

“I don’t have that kind of money, Edward! There’s no way I can pay for these!” My voice was shrill and maniacal sounding. These shoes had become an albatross around my neck in the span of sixty seconds.

“Then I guess it’s a good thing your husband got a hefty bonus check,” he said while deploying another smirk.

“Excuse me?” I asked with a furrowed brow.

“Happy birthday, Mrs. Masen.”

Happy, happy birthday, Mrs. Bing03!

The One Where I Went Mac and I'm Never Going Back

Apologies for the month-long disappearance. After our last post, Anntastic had a girlfriend-getaway (documented in The One Where We Bring Unicorns), followed by Twifecta's trip to ComicCon (wait for it... wait for it...), followed by MrsBing's family-getaway. If you're still checking in with us and showing fabulous patience, you'll be happy to know that we have indeed survived our crazy month and are baaa-aaaack! We have much to share with you in the way of opinions, photos, and stories and thank you, most sincerely, for sticking with us. Now if you'll please rewind a couple of weeks...

So, the Bing family was the last in this nation to join the Apple community. When LittleMan Bing did a dance on my closed lappie in June, cracking the screen into oblivion, MrBing saved the day with a MacBookPro. It took me a while to adjust to the system and figure it all out (still in the process, actually). Not too long ago, I realized that if I entered iPhoto and clicked on "Faces," I could choose my name and it would automatically show a slew of photos including what this fabulous computer thinks is my face. All I had to do was click "confirm" and they'd be filed away in the MrsBing folder. This smartfuckingcomputer is going to save me a shitload of time, I can feel it. Before I discovered that this Mac was capable of face recognition, I was having to tag each person in each photo. No longer!

(The fact that this computer does face recognition for me is definitely a plus, but there is obvs computer error. For instance, my children look a lot alike, and you can click on either name to find a nice compilation of photos featuring both kids.)

Upon discovering this time-saving feature (have I mentioned how very much I lurve my MacBook?), I went through each face-folder and confirmed all correctly-tagged photos of my fam and friends. Here's where I fell so hard for this piece of technology, that I will never go back to PC: In MrBing's folder, I confirmed dozens of suggested photos of him before stumbling upon this:

Fuckity-fuck. Confirm! Confirm! I confirm!

DIED. I am confirming photos of my husband. This is not my husband. My treasured laptop used the face-finder program to find photos of my husband and presented that photo to me. For verification. Along this these, as well:

::nods:: Confirm. Confirm.

::nods enthusiastically:: Confirm. Confirm.

Once this happened, it became quite clear to me that Apple has created a very special system. This beloved computer will be buried with me, I love it so. It just asked me if Robert Pattinson was my husband. And whether Jackson Rathbone shares a bed with me. And practically begged me to confirm that TomStu fathered my children. Never. Going. Back. To. PC.

The love deepened when I entered my very own face-folder to confirm myself in the suggested photos, and these were amongst my pics:

Bah! There's not a chance in hell that I've ever resembled the beautiful Stew, but thank you, thank you, Apple.

Not even close on my very best of days, but I'm going to confirm this shit anyway. No one has to know.

Dude, Apple, I already purchased the computer, there's no need to butter me up. I LOVE YOU.

[Please note: I look nothing like Stew and my handsome man does not look like Rob. But I love Mac for its face-finding flaws and will continue to enter my folder on bloaty/PMS days, just to feel better. I highly recommend this system to anyone in the market for a new computer. Dew it.]

The One Where I Need To Get Mr. Sandman On My Side

Okay, so you know of my dreaming-of-Freebies problem, right? They'll pop in, we'll hang out, and then I wake up. I can never, ever touch. One word: fuckingfrustrating. The first time that this happened, I awoke in the middle of the night... well, let me play it out for you.

First occurrence:
Adam Levine used to be on my list. Until, that is, Lainey defined the word "shamefuck" for her readers. I obviously removed him from the list and placed him under the shamefuck category (he's still the lone guy in that special category). Anyhow, he was on my list. So I have this dream where I am backstage after a show (ugh, so cliche that I was somewhat glad to wake from it) and we start talking. We're talking and talking and talking and he asks if I want to leave with him (omg, writing it out makes the cliche even worse) and I say that I can't because even though he's on my list and MrBing would technically be cool with it... what if he wasn't? What if he got mad and left and never forgave me?! Couldn't do it. I wanted MrBing more than I wanted to play with my shamefuck. I love MrBing A LOT, apparently. I awoke in the middle of the night and was immediately MAD. I woke the hubs and said (yelled/said, same thing), "I couldn't touch Adam Levine in my dream because I LOVE YOU! Ugh!" He was confused, and I went back to bed. (For the record, I tried to magic myself back into the dream and it didn't work.)

50% What-the-hell-was-I-thinking? 50% I-want-to-touch-right.the.fuck-now.
See? That's the beauty of a shamefuck.
And Adam Levine fits that bill perfectly, right?

You see? Sofuckingunfair. Like we're ever going to be presented with the opportunity to bag a Freebie. It should be allowed in dreams. It should be possible in dreams. For me, it is not.

Latest occurrence:
Last night, I dreamed that Anntastic and I were watching Eclipse and Rob surprised! the theatre (a la LA Eclipse showing). Only he was without Kristen. He just wanted to talk to the fans for a bit. Now, I don't know why (AND she'll kill me for this), but Anntastic got up to go to the bathroom, leaving the seat next to me was empty (what a fab friend!). Obviously, because it was my dream, Rob walked up and sat in her seat. We talked for a few minutes. I don't remember exactly what our conversation entailed, but I did think, "Man, that was a GREAT convo. And there was good, genuine laughter." (Sidenote: His laughter was unf, in case you were wondering.) After a few minutes of really great (yet apparently forgettable) conversation and COP-inducing laughter, he got up and went down to finish his little chat with the audience.

Hey, Mr. Sandman! Is it too much to ask?
Help a sista out next time, m'kay?

Why didn't I touch him? Why didn't I get him nekkid in the theatre? It was a dream! He's a Freebie! MrBing says it's COOL! Grrrr. I thought it would be different with someone worthy of the list. I thought the shamefuck sitch happened because he shouldn't have been a listie in the first place. If I come back from TheCon and dream of j.action, I will touch him. Mark my words.

It's on. Bring it.
